Phalia lies at the end of a dead end track but, possibly, you may be able to descend to Kannaviou from here.
From the Paphos to Limassol motorway take the exit to Agia Varvara. Bypass this village, drive through Axylou and Elediou then bypass Amargeti. Just after you bypass Pendalia, on the right, take the road signposted to Choulou. Skirt round the abandoned village of Ayios Photios then, soon, Phalia is signposted to the left. Follow the undulating winding concrete road to the village. Here, at a T-junction, turn left up a slope then park.
The village is inhabited mainly by cattle, horses and dogs. The dogs won't harm you and neither will the curious cattle - but beware of any bulls. There are many fences constructed of reinforcing bar mesh and these are presumably to contain the cattle. It's worth a stroll around but there isn't much plant life apart from the heath before the school. There appears to be no evidence of a church, a mosque or a graveyard, but there are remains of a school on the left of the road into the village. The only feature worthy of note is a house which is fronted by stolen signs advertising it variously as a hotel, bus stop â¦.
