Prastio is in the Dhiarizos valley and was probably another earthquake victim.
From the Paphos to Limassol motorway take the turnoff to Mandria then proceed along the old road for about two kilometres before taking the turn to Nikoklia. Bypass Nikoklia, drive through Fasoula, bypass Mamonia then drive through Ayios Yeoryious.
Prastio is not signposted but access can be gained down a vehicle track just beyond a brown sign on the right pointing the way to Ayios Savvas monastery. When you are facing a large rock outcrop fork left. At a water tank fork right, then left. Near the bottom of the hill take a sharp turn left. The track leads down to the river bed. Cross the river then turn left then proceed uphill.
The dominant building is the stone-built church which can be seen as you drive up from the river bed. It's most impressive feature is the group of splendid carvings in front of the alter. Also there are many wild flowers surrounding the church.
From the church you can walk up and to the right to the ruined village. There is not much remaining but you can clamber amongst the ruins searching for wild flowers and perhaps find the schoolhouse. Another source of flowers is the cliff track along the river bed which you crossed to gain access to the village.
Unless you wish to see more of the beautiful Dhiarizos valley, say up towards Agios Nikolaos, you may return the way you came.
